While Maywood's FFA team traveled to Lincoln for State FFA our students had many accomplishments. At the National State FFA Convention. Ryan Werkmeister, Kassidy Hatfield, Taren Sailor, Maddie Merritt, Blayklee Farr, Dallas Grunden, and Reagan Stengel these 7 all received their Nebraska State FFA Degrees along side 906 others! Congratulations we are so very proud of you. Also we had a demonstration team go to state showing how to properly saddle a horse. This team consisted of Maddie Merritt, Taren Sailor, Dallas Grunden, and Blayklee Farr. This team placed 4th overall in Ag Demonstration. We are very proud of your girls commitment and dedication. Maywood also had a gold medalist! Kassidy Hatfield ranked 1st overall in Cooperative Speaking! This girl truly has the gift of gab what an amazing accomplishment! In Ag Mechanics Maywood placed 18th with a red ribbon(Steven Werkmeister placed 22nd, Ethan Renner placed 62nd, and Ryan Werkmeister placed 119th). In Livestock Management Maywood placed 33rd. Maywood placed 44th in Nursery & Landscaping. Farm Business Management, Maywood placed 52nd with Ryan placing 87th overall. In Agri science Maywood placed 86th, with Jillian placing 106th overall. Maywood School is proud of each and everyone that attended State FFA keep up the great work!
