Lucas McCain

My name is Lucas McCain. My family and I live in Maywood. My wife and I have three children. It is fun watching them grow and learn.
Family is a big part of our life. We spend our free time with them. My parents are Scott and Shari McCain, who live in Fremont, Nebraska. My older sister, Lindsey lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Olivia's parents, Doug and Paula Klein, live near Moorefield, Nebraska. Her brother, Austin, lives there as well. Her sister, Candace, lives in Cozad, Nebraska.
I graduated with my bachelor's degree in K-12 Special Education with an endorsement in coaching. I taught ninth through twelfth grade special education at Arlington High School. In my third year at Arlington I taught fifth through eighth grade special education. I moved to Logan View Elementary School to teach with my wife who was the fourth grade teacher. I taught fourth through sixth grade special education at Logan View Elementary School.
I graduated from Doane University with a degree in Educational Leadership. I have learned that you have to know your own morals and values in order to lead others. Leaders need to build relationships with everyone involved in order to build success. Those relationships allow the leader to identify others' strengths and work more efficiently toward a common goal.
My family and I have enjoyed being a part of the Maywood Public Schools community.
