I am excited to facilitate reading and research skills in the library at Maywood Public Schools.  I am a Hayes Center High School graduate and proceeded to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Music from Concordia University - Seward, NE, in 2004.  I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Education/School Librarian degree from the University of Nebraska - Kearney.  My husband Brent and I have taught together at private schools in Hollywood, FL, Delray Beach, FL, Dearborn, MI, and Sturgis, MI, before returning to south-west Nebraska with our four children in 2021.  

We have agricultural roots and enjoy living in the country and managing our family farm while making teaching our daily professions.  I value my role as a wife and mom and enjoy traveling, photography, gardening, teaching Sunday School, and leading the children’s music program at our church.  Mostly, I enjoy chauffeuring and assisting my own children as they develop their skills and passions.  

I look forward to serving Maywood Public Schools and the community by growing and monitoring the library’s content, establishing a love of quality literature, and teaching our students how to use the library as a resource for both learning and enjoyment.
