Hello from the Maywood Special Education and Title 1 Department!

I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am to have the opportunity to serve you as your Special Education and Title 1 teacher. It’s my belief that Maywood is the finest school in the region. Our students demonstrate excellent achievement academically, athletically, and civically through hard work, determination, and good citizenship. We have a caring staff that tries to make each and every day a rich and enjoyable learning experience for every student.

One of my goals as a Special Education and Title 1 teacher is to build a trusting relationship with our students and their families by keeping lines of communication wide open. My mission is to help provide specialized instruction, maximized student learning and a variety of educational opportunities to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and to students through Title 1 services. The primary purpose of Special Education and Title 1 is to ensure that exceptional children develop mentally, physically, socially and emotionally. Every child deserves a valuable education that focuses on their present and future needs.
