Let's See How Far You Can Throw!
Thee weekend of June 13-14, 2026 Maywood Public Schools had the opportunity to host throwing coaches Austen Rozelle and Grant Jansen for a track and field throwing camp. Athletes from middle school through high school, representing several area schools, came together to learn and improve their skills.
Both coaches enjoyed outstanding careers at Concordia University, earning numerous honors and accolades during their time as a collegiate throwers.

North Platte St. Patrick's
Coach Rozelle led instruction in the discus, while Coach Jansen focused on shot put technique and development.
Thank you to all the athletes, parents, and coaches who helped make this camp a success. It was great to see the hard work, positive attitudes, and noticeable growth throughout the weekend. The future of throwing in our area is bright!
